AllMusic: American Tears was a keyboard-dominated, New York-based hard rock band of the 1970s. Its leader was Mark Mangold, and its initial lineup included bassists Gary Sonny and Greg Baze and drummer Tommy Gunn. This edition made American Tears' debut album, Branded Bad, followed by their "heavy ivory" sophomore effort, Tear Gas. Failing to find an audience, Mangold reorganized, emerging with a new lineup featuring guitarist Evan Brooks, and a rhythm section of Kirk Powers and Glenn Kithcart. They made the third album Powerhouse, still without popular response.

the first studio album released by The Amboy Dukes. It was released in November 1967 on Mainstream Records (stereo S/6104, mono 56104). The Amboy Dukes interested a record label that primarily produced jazz albums in their music. Nugent assembled a new band of the best local Detroit players to secure a recording contract with them. He immediately brought in the soulful baritone voice of Drake as lead vocalist. He had a long history with Drake in a local band called The Lourds. Nugent and Drake then recruited the remaining players. Farmer was known as a solid rhythm guitarist, lyricist, composer and vocalist and was a natural fit with Nugent. He came from a local group called The Gang. Palmer was a solid drummer and percussionist with experience in two local bands, The Galaxy Five and The Citations. White was a solid bass player and Lober was an eclectic keyboardist rounding out the new garage super group.
The album featured seven group composed originals with six of them composed by the emerging songwriting team of Nugent & Farmer. This album features a soulful, bluesy, psychedelic garage sound throughout. Included was their first single "Baby, Please Don't Go, a cover of a delta blues song by Big Joe Williams which charted. Also included were a cover from The Coasters along with covers of British groups Cream and The Who that were added for good measure. The intense debut album charted and was a great initial showing for a new rock group on a jazz label.

Dutch band Alquin released four studio albums in the early to mid-'70s, initially playing prog rock influenced by Pink Floyd and Roxy Music. However, by 1975's Nobody Can Wait Forever (the only Alquin album released in the U.S.), the band turned to a more varied style encompassing blues and hard rock. The original group comprised guitarist/vocalist Ferdinand Bakker, vocalist Job Tarenskeen, bassist Hein Mars, drummer Paul Weststrate, and horn player Ronald Ottenhoff; Michel Van Dyke joined the band as lead vocalist in 1975. A live album appeared in 1976, and the best-of Crash! was released a year later. Bakker and Tarenskeen played in the new wave outfit the Meteors in the late '70s and early '80s.
The band split in 1977. They made a comeback in 2003 and in September 2005 they released a new album.

wiki: A Band Called O were a band from Jersey, Channel Islands. Originally known as "The Parlour Band", playing progressive rock, they renamed to "A Band Called O" for two albums on CBS/Epic and later to "The O Band" for a further albums with UA. Despite issuing five albums, on three major labels, and being championed by John Peel, for whom they recorded four Peel Sessions, they had no chart success; but were a popular live act, who toured Britain and Europe.
They relocated from Jersey to Leicester, changed their name to "A Band Called O", and their drummer to Derek Ballard. This line-up released their first album on the Epic label, produced by Ben Sidran of the Steve Miller Band, and Chris White of the Zombies. A Band Called O (1974) and, despite being an album orientated band, a single "Rock and Roll Clown"/"Red Light Mama Red Hot" was released in Germany while they recorded the first of four Peel Sessions on 24 September 1974. They recorded their second Peel Session on 18 March 1975, before touring with Man and John Cipollina. Later that year, they released their second album, Oasis. They had one track "There Ain't Nothing I Wouldn't Do" on a single to promote their tour with Sassafras and Randy Pie as the "Hot On The Tracks" package.
Scented Gardeys of Mind:
Niels Skousen used Danish lyrics on all his albums. Herfra Hvor Vi Står (1971) was recorded as a duo with Peter Ingemann, previously the bass player in Young Flowers (Skousen had a guest appearance on their last album). Skousen's music was usually tough rock with good guitar parts. Useful references could include anything from Bob Dylan and Eric Clapton to the Rolling Stones of the early seventies.

... and its 1970 follow-up, To Pagham & Beyond. Crimble moved on that year to play bass with Hawkwind and organising the Glastonbury Festival, and was replaced by Nick Graham (formerly of Atomic Rooster, though not the same-named musician from The End and Tucky Buzzard) before the album was completed, Graham singing on two of the tracks. Pope was later replaced by Tony Knight (real name Tony Brown), formerly of The Chessmen and Bronx Cheer.
