    Fuzz Acid & flowers:
This group, part of the 'Bosstown Sound', were energetically promoted in 1968. Their debut album, though often pretentious, was a mini-psychedelic masterpiece. The material, a mixture of acid rock, blues, and ballads, was usually original and often interesting. The album is recommended. Their second effort continued in a similar vein, but contained the orchestrated Clown's Overture and Angus Of Aberdeen. Also of note on the album were a sixteen minute version of Baby Please Don't Go, a most unusual track entitled May I Light Your Cigarette? and a version of the Carl Perkin's classic Blue Suede Shoes. The back cover of this album pictures the band walking on top of a cloud and their strange music was undoubtedly largely drug-induced. Either or both albums are well worth checking out and both met with some commercial success.
Beacon Street Union ~ 1968 ~ The Clown Died In Marvin GardenzWright, Ulaky and Rhodes all played for Eagle, who issued an album for Janus Records. Then in 1977, John Lincoln Wright released a country music album titled Takin' Old Route One. Wright has pursued a career as a country singer and remains a popular entertainer today in the New England area. ~ (Vernon Joynson / Steve Panter / Max Waller / Stephane Rebeschini)
