Peter, Paul & Mary ~ 1963 ~ In The Windgenre: folk
    state: us
quality: lossless (flac, cue, log, covers)
    time: 38:13 size: 360 mb

    wikipedia:
Third album by the American folk music trio.  In the Wind was so successful that when it hit #1 on the Billboard album charts, it caused their two previous albums to re-enter the Top 10 as well. The album was released in October 1963, a few months before the arrival of the Beatles heralded the British Invasion. At this point in musical history the folk music revival was in full flower.
The lead-off single of Bob Dylan's "Blowin' in the Wind" became world famous when it sold a phenomenal three hundred thousand copies in the first week of release. On July 13, 1963, it reached number two on the Billboard pop chart, with sales exceeding one million copies. It spent five weeks atop the easy listening chart. The second single from the album, "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right", another song by Dylan, peaked at number 2 on the Adult Contemporary chart and number 9 on the Pop Singles chart.
At the Grammy Awards of 1964, their recording of "Blowin' in the Wind" won the Best Folk Recording and Best Performance by a Vocal Group.

    November ~ 1972 ~ 6:e November

    genre: heavy prog
    state: sweden
quality: lossless (flac tracks, log, covers)
    time: 62:13 size: 208 mb

    wikipedia:
Their music was partly inspired by American acid rock, but heavy and blues based like a mixture of Black Sabbath, Cream and Led Zeppelin. November started in 1968 at Tegelhögen, a youth club in Vällingby (a Stockholm suburb). At this club Christer Stålbrandt and Björn Inge played together with two friends as The Imps. After a few months Stålbrandt left the group to form a new group called Train. Björn Inge joined shortly after. Train also included Snowy White on guitar. In the early autumn of 1969 Snowy decided to return to his native homeland, England, and Richard Rolf joined as their new guitarist.
On November 1st, 1969 they supported Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac at the Que-Club in Gothenburg, and therefore they decided to call themselves November.
November was one of the first Swedish rock bands with Swedish lyrics. Most of the lyrics were written by Stålbrandt, influenced by the 60's flower power movement. Despite the Swedish lyrics, November was quite popular in England. While touring in England the lyrics was often translated to English, the crowd, however, insisted on the band performing with Swedish lyrics.
November recorded three albums which all reached high places on the Swedish charts. After their last concert at club Domino on New Year's Eve 1972 the band split up and had up until 2007, only performed once, namely during the release party for the CD November-Live 1993 (recorded on tour in 1971) on 30 Nov 1993.
Christer Stålbrandt moved on starting the group Saga, Björn Inge joined jazz rockers Energy, and Richard Rolf was one of the forming members of Bash and later on joined Nature.
On the 27th of January 2007 they performed at the Mellotronen 20th anniversary party. More gigs have been played.

the Nazgûl ~ 1976 ~ the Nazgûlgenre: kraut
    state: germany
quality: lossless (flac tracks, log, covers)
    time: 46:32 size: 208 mb

    Crack in the Cosmic Egg:
All of you should know that "The Nazgul" are the ominous "black riders" from Tolkien's "Lord Of The Rings". The group The Nazgul, thus tried to emulate this dark mysterious spirit. They proved to be the most free-form of improvising rock bands, in the nether regions of weirdest cosmic Tangerine Dream, and the most experimental of the bands on the Pyramid label.
According to a conversation with Toby Robinson (credited as Tolkien character Gandalf) The Nazgul were the most prolific of Pyramid acts, as they would while away the quiet hours of the graveyard shift at Dierks studio doing all sorts of experimentation, with tapes reeled from one machine to another, devising new ways of feedback and such-like. Apparently a second LP was also completed, but no reissue has appeared as yet.
Toby, now works at Moat Studios in London, and he is a well respected engineer and technician. The recent 12" EP (composed by Toby Robinson & Presence) saw him attempt a rebirth of The Nazgul, making use of recycling techniques for a record that sounds more like an atmospheric Nurse With wound release.

    Nico ~ 1998 ~ Nico's Last Concert: Fata Morganagenre: experiment(al)
    state: germany
quality: lossless (flac tracks, log, covers)
    time: 57:32 size: 350 mb

    wikip:
Nico's Last Concert: Fata Morgana is a live album documenting Nico's performance at a show called Fata Morgana – Wüstenklänge im Planetarium (Fata Morgana – Desert Sounds in the Planetarium), held on June 6, 1988 in West Berlin as part of the European Capital of Culture festival that year. The concert (organized by musician Lutz Ulbrich) took place at the planetarium of the Wilhelm-Foerster-Sternwarte. Except for the album's closing song (which was previously released on The End...), Nico and her backing band The Faction composed all pieces specifically for the show, during which they were accompanied by optical effects and Moon-themed projected pictures and films.
As the title of the album indicates, the concert would be Nico's last, and the material on the album is among the last she (co-)wrote. Six weeks later, on July 18, she died while on vacation in Ibiza.

New Colony Six ~ 1966 ~ Breakthroughgenre: garage, beatpsych
    state: us
quality: lossless (flac tracks, log, covers)
    time: 34:00 size: 127 mb

    allmusic:
Breakthrough was one of the very finest American garage LPs, fusing Midwestern guitar-organ pop with the raunch of British Invasion groups and stressing well-written original material. It is also extremely rare and, should you locate an original copy, extremely expensive. The two other songs are routine, dispensable covers of the Yardbirds' "Mr. You're a Better Man than I" and the McCoys' "Hang On Sloopy," so you shouldn't fret about their absence from your collection. ~ Richie Unterberger
