Tapestry of Delights: Timebox formed in Southport in 1966. Their pop-soul number, Walking Through The Streets Of My Mind, is well worth a spin, but by far their best known song is their cover of The Four Seasons' hit, Beggin', a strong number with a great dance beat. Later gems included Gone Is The Sad Man, a more psychedelic offering with its backwards tapes and gorgeous melody and a strange storyline song, Baked Jam Roll In Your Eye. However, they were never entirely happy with this musical format and in 1969, after Chris Holmes left, changed their musical direction and name to
Patto (after their leader and vocalist).
