Formed in the Summer of 1969. All five members were session musicians. John Swail (real name Guy Darrell) met Dave and Martin on sessions when Guy was singing and then the other two came along so they recorded as The Guy Darrell Syndicate for about nine months. They had a minor hit with a cover of Do You Love Me in 1970.
During 1971 the line-up changed, Guy re-started his solo career again during the early seventies and made many more singles up to the mid-seventies.
