Fuzz Acid & Flowers:
This East Coast singer songwriter went largely unnoticed at the time but his two albums are worth a spin. The first one is folk-psych with almost whispered vocals. Songs range from Dylanesque ballads to the monster cut The Man Is Dead (6'56") with fuzz guitar. Other cuts include High Flyin' Mama, Childhood's Hour, and a cover of Rhinoceros' Apricot Brandy.
Danny Federici went on to play with Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band.
Housed in a nice textured cover, Dealer's Blues is, as its title indicates, more blues oriented and is a superb album combining white blues, folk and rock. It was produced by Richard Gottehrer (ex-Strangeloves). ~ (Stephane Rebeschini)
