Fuzz Acid & Flowers:
A short-lived San Francisco-based outfit whose album was partly recorded in London. Stephens had previously been with Blue Cheer and two musicians were British: Pete Sears was a session musician and Waller had come from The Jeff Beck Group. The album is basically heavy rock with splatterings of psychedelia. It included three Elton John/Bernie Taupin compositions: Country Comfort, Now They've Found Me and Sixty Years On.
Leigh Stephens also had a solo career and in 1972 would form Pilot with Waller. Pete Sears would later play with Rod Stewart but also with Steamhammer, Stoneground and Jefferson Starship. He also played with John Cipollina and Hot Tuna. ~ (Vernon Joynson / Stephane Rebeschini)
