Tapestry Of Delights:
Their second album is a mixture of progressive / folk rock and is pleasant enough without ever hitting the heights. All songs were written by Brian McGladdery with assistance on one from Geoff Gill (ex-Smoke) who also produced the album.

Tapestry Of Delights: This rather lightweight vocal harmony outfit, evolved out of
Robb Storme and The Whispers. They started playing quasi-psychedelic pop music in 1967. They had a No 1 in France with their debut single Hyacinth Threads although their future singles including a cover of
The Rolling Stones' Sing This All Together did not happen at home.
Their album was produced by John Peel and was largely comprised of cover versions of
Elton John/Bernie Taupin material such as Take Me To The Pilot, which was also released as a single. It also included Dylan's Tonight I'll Be Staying Here With You and
Denny Laine's Say You Don't Mind.
Wilson Malone recorded a self-titled solo album as Wil Malone in 1970 for Fontana and was also in
Motherlight. JOHN BACHINI bsKEVIN CURRY drmsBERNIE LEE gtrWILSON MALONE keyb'ds, vclsR.J. SCALES vcls

Fuzz Acid & Flowers:
An album with psychedelic leanings which could begin to interest collectors. It is in fact a U.S.A.-only release by a U.K. band.
Line Notes:
As most people don't know: Orang Utan grew from the dying members of Jason Crest. Terry Clarke (the original co-founder) was to leave Jason Crest, whilst the remainding members continued with new vocalist Brian Prebble and ex-Mike Stuart Span / Leviathan guitarist Brian Bennett under the new name. Their US-only album is full of far music heavier than the Crest ever managed to cut. ...
This is one of the very best heavy albums of the period, and most definitely not for the popsykers! But if you dig Broughtons, Writing On The Wall or the Fairies I am sure you'll dig this big time; and song titles such as 'Fly Me High' and 'Magic Playground' leave one in no doubt that this is music stuffed full of brain fryin' chemicals. In fact, this is one of the very few genuine UK "Acid Rock" albums.
Play loud, play very very LOUD!

Crack In The Cosmic Egg: The roots of
Morpheus,
undocumented until the recent Garden of Delights CD release, they originated
circa Spring 1971 from the town of Warburg (about 70 miles east of Dortmund)
and existed until early 1975.
The CD documents a studio rehearsal session and
has fine studio quality, with four of the five tracks penned by band leader
Gerold Adler. The opening Eddie Marshall number is given a distinct Krauty
feel, as a relaxed Zappa/Mothers cum Xhol jazzy mood, with really nice
electric-saxophone work, and elsewhere we have moods that feel kinda Nine
Days Wonder or Colosseum, in a free-floaty mode. I could compare their hybrid
to Annexus Quam, Munju and Embryo, with some nice lazy Latino and bluesy
diversions. Excellent stuff through and through! 01. "The Sun And The Moon Have Come Together" 11:15
02. "Mittelstreifen" 10:16
03. "Amina" 6:34
04. "Opossum Novum" 4:04

ProgArchives:
Record collectors into Nordic rock are well aware of this band that recorded one album that is very much sought after (it was also counterfeited at least twice), with its highly rated Hammond-driven hard rock rather typical of that era. They do have their own sound but can be compared to a rough TULL (Aqualung-style) or ATOMIC ROOSTER, playing tight music, but also leaving some space for instrumental interplay on some tracks.
