wiki:
Heavy Horses is the eleventh studio album by Jethro Tull, released on 10 April 1978. It is considered the second album in a trilogy of folk-rock albums by Jethro Tull, although folk music's influence is evident on a great number of Jethro Tull releases. The album abandons much of the folk lyrical content typical of the previous studio album, Songs from the Wood (1977), in exchange for a more realist perspective on the changing world. Likewise, the band sound is harder and tighter. The album reached No. 19 on the Billboard 200 album chart, and peaked at No. 20 on the UK Albums Chart. The third album in the folk-rock trilogy is Stormwatch (1979).
This album was the last studio album to feature John Glascock playing bass on all tracks.

Tapestry of Delights:
From Salisbury comes this album's worth of bone-crunching hard-rock, played by immature teenies. Famous because it was produced by a young Ian Gillan, it doesn't offer anything musically that isn't available much more excitingly elsewhere. Skip this one.
In July 1972 their line-up was changed and in August they entered the studios to record a second album, again to be produced by Ian Gillan, but it was never released.
Kamakazi Moth also got an airing on Circus Days, Vol. 4. This is similar in style to the album and also best avoided unless hard rock is your scene. They were related to the band Pussy. ~ (Marcel Koopman / Vernon Joyson)

Tapestry of Delights:
A progressive rock outfit whose albums were reputedly delicate, melodic affairs, somewhat similar to King Crimson and with a lot of mellotrons. Ricochet, their 45, was taken from the album No Alternative and was also included on the Has It Dawned On You? compilation. It's a good melodic hard rock number with keyboards, wah wah guitar and a circus music style finale. Their Keeping Up album is basically of the progressive genre and in parts includes diverse ingredients; violins, harpsichord, harmony vocals and trumpet solos. Of its tracks Duet is more jazz/avant-gardish with strong vocals upon a minimal backing, trumpet a la Miles Davies and guitar improvisations. Song is a mellow, string-dominated number with a fine melody. The last track, Children, is probably the best. A good structured, progressive piece with strong vocals, brass, strings, viola and keyboards.
Alan Bown earlier had his own band and Morris Pert later made some solo albums.
