Tapestry of Delights:
This London-based band was put together by Sid Bacon in late 1966 who was keen for his son Maurice to have a group to play in. They played at various London clubs and enjoyed a Marquee residency before going professional in mid-1967 when Fisher left to go to college and was replaced briefly by Peter Bardens from Shotgun Express but then by Lyton Guest.
After recording a cover of Jagger/Richards' She Smiled Sweetly for Decca they switched to CBS, recording a version of Everlasting Love, which had been a hit in the US for soul singer Robert Knight. Rather unexpectedly it shot to No 1 in January 1968 - it was one of those classic pop songs with immediate appeal. They covered another Robert Knight song, Rainbow Valley, for the follow-up and again it made the UK Top 10.
Lacking any real songwriting ability themselves they turned to Philip Goodhand-Tait material for their next three singles - A Day Without Love, One Road and Bringing On Back The Good Times - which were all competent and appealing pop singles. However, their longer-term prospects were damaged by revelations that they didn't play on their albums.
By early 1970 Steve Ellis had recorded a solo 45 and then departed to form Ellis and then Widowmaker. He was replaced by Gus Eaden. By 1971 Bacon and Fisher left to form Morgan, though the latter went on to Mott The Hoople. Jackson left too soon after but the group soldiered on until Lynton Guest departed to form English Rose. Basically, Love Affair were a good pop group, no more and no less.

Fuzz Acid & Flowers:
A Sioux Indian band based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Bummer is a fine upbeat rocker, whilst Sunny Sunday Dream is much more trippy with lots of keyboards. Changing their name to Xit the band made several albums in support of the cause of the American Indian during the 1970's. The Lincoln St. Exit album is essentially blues-based and does not include their non-Mainstream 45s. It is now a very sought-after collectors' item, and has been counterfeited. ~ (Max Waller)

wikipedia:
Muswell Hillbillies is the ninth studio album by the English rock group The Kinks, released in November 1971. The album is named after the Muswell Hill area of North London, where band leader Ray Davies and guitarist Dave Davies grew up and the band formed in the early 1960s.
The album centred on themes of poverty and working-class life, as well as the destruction and subdivision of old Victorian neighbourhoods—a practice that had become commonplace in North London during the 1970s.

Wikipedia:
The Kingsmen's fourth album featured two chart singles, "The Climb" (#65) and "Annie Fanny (#47), plus several Northwest and R&B classics, a cover of the Beatles' "A Hard Day's Night" and two Lynn Easton compositions. The album entered the Billboard Top LPs chart on October 30, 1965, and remained for 17 weeks, peaking at #68.
The album received mixed reviews and only a two-star rating from Allmusic.com where Joe Viglione's review stated, "... it is obvious the band loved classic R&B. Too bad they couldn't inject it into their performances on record. Despite the lack of passion, "The Climb" ranks with "Annie Fanny" as the best two tracks to be found in the grooves of The Kingsmen on Campus."
The album's sales and chart tenure were supported by the ongoing controversy over the lyrics of "Louie Louie" and the Kingsmen's extensive touring schedule. As with earlier albums, crowd noise was dubbed on some tracks to simulate a live performance. The back of the LP jacket featured a collage of college and university pennants emblematic of the Kingsmen's reputation as a "frat rock" and college concert band.
