Tapestry of Delights:
The above is a psychedelic classic of some repute, full of swirling guitar work and a heavy organ sound. It's now very rare and is worth investigation. Highlights include the opening cut, (I'm So) Sad, the mellow, rather jazzy Urge To Leave, the rocky You, the psych-pop of Slowly The Day and New Man, the frantic When I Was Young and the superb final track, Moonbeams. I found the vocals on the comedy number, The Motor Bike Song, extremely irritating. Moonbeams, incidentally, crops up as a 'mystery track' on Bam-Caruso's 49 Minute Technicolour Dream compilation.
Along with Five Day Week Straw People, this was one of the few decent albums on Saga. Like the others it was badly pressed on poor quality vinyl.
