Fuzz Acid & Flowers:
Formed in Virgina in 1969, this power-trio shared the same stomping grounds as Short Cross in the Richmond-Norfolk-Virginia Beach area. This heavy rock album has now become a minor collectable. With strong vocals and lots of excellent instrumentation it's easy to see why. One track, Golden Sails, sounds uncannily like Jethro Tull, but all eight cuts are originals, six of them Jim Galyon compositions, the other two co-written with Steve Arcese. A must for heavy rock fans but worth a twirl for most collectors. They lasted until the mid-70s and their legacy has been secured with the CD on Gear Fab.
Jim Galyon later released a poor privately pressed solo album in the early seventies. ~ (Vernon Joynson/Max Waller/Roger Maglio)
