Tapestry Of Delights:
This group were around for several years without ever achieving any notable success. As you can see several people passed through their ranks including a very youthful Jimmy Page prior to his years with The Yardbirds and Led Zeppelin. Later Albert Lee was in the line-up briefly but he left before the band made a disc. In 1965 many of the earlier members joined Lord Sutch's Savages and Christian pulled in an entirely new line-up, taking over a Luton group called The Hustlers. Their most successful song was That's Nice, which made the UK Top 20. Two At A Time was a big hit for them in Germany where Christian developed a big following and went on to release material which never made it onto vinyl in the UK.
He later moved to Vogue for whom he recorded a 45 with a reformed Crusaders which included a certain Ritchie Blackmore on guitar and then to Metronome. In the early seventies he worked for Young Blood but none of the fruits of his labour got an airing at the time. He recorded a 45 for Satril in Germany and since then has worked spasmodically on the live circuit.
