Judas Priest ~ 1976 ~ Sad Wings Of Destinygenre: heavy, hard
    state: uk
quality: lossless (flac, cue, log, covers,  size: 395 mb)
    time: 47'38"

Sad Wings of Destiny is the second album by the English heavy metal group Judas Priest, released in 1976. It is considered the album where Judas Priest consolidated their sound and image, and songs such as "Victim of Changes" and "The Ripper" became live standards.
Noted for its riff-driven heavy metal sound and Halford's soaring vocals, the album displays a wide variety of styles, moods, and textures, inspired by an array of groups such as Queen, Deep Purple, and Black Sabbath. Centrepiece "Victim of Changes" is a long track featuring heavy riffing trading off with powerful, high-pitched vocals; extended leads; and a slow, moody breakdown toward the end. "Tyrant" and "The Ripper" are short, dense, high-powered rockers with many parts and changes. Riffs and solos dominate "Genocide", "Island of Domination", and "Deceiver", and the band finds more laid-back moments in the crooning piano-backed "Epitaph" and the moody "Dreamer Deceiver".
Judas Priest recorded their first two albums with independent Gull Records under tight budgets, unrelieved by the positive reception of Sad Wings of Destiny. After living off a single meal per day while working side jobs to support themselves, the group grew frustrated with the financial situation and signed with CBS Records for their next album, Sin After Sin (1977). Breaking their contract resulted in the rights to the album and demo recordings falling into Gull's hands.

Jethro Tull ~ 1976 ~ Too Old To Rock'n Roll Too Young To Die!genre: prog
    state: us
quality: lossless (flac, cue, log, covers,  size: 247 mb)
    time: 47'38"

Too Old to Rock 'n' Roll: Too Young to Die!, as an album, had lower sales than the preceding album Minstrel in the Gallery and following album Songs from the Wood. It reached No. 14 in the United States, No. 25 in Britain, No. 10 in Austria, No. 10 in Norway, and No. 27 in Sweden. It was Jethro Tull's only album of the 1970s not to achieve Gold certification.
Rolling Stone complained about the "muddled story" of the album, saying that "Ian Anderson should stick to music, because he most definitely is not a storyteller." The same review praised Anderson's skill at musical composition, and the guitar solos of Martin Barre.
AllMusic's review called the album "one of the minor efforts in the [Jethro Tull] catalogue".

    oe; great Lp forever)

Brian Hyland (born November 12, 1943) is an American pop recording artist who was particularly successful during the early 1960s. He continued recording into the 1970s. Allmusic journalist Jason Ankeny states, "Hyland's puppy-love pop virtually defined the sound and sensibility of bubblegum during the pre-Beatles era." Although his status as a teen idol faded, he went on to release several country-influenced albums and had additional chart hits later in his career.

Julie Driscoll, Brian Auger & the Trinity ~ 1969 ~ Streetnoisegenre: psych, jazz
    state: uk
quality: lossless (flac tracks, cue, log, covers,  size: 510 mb)
    time: 49'59"

Streetnoise is a 1969 album by Julie Driscoll, Brian Auger and the Trinity, originally released as a double LP.
It includes cover versions of The Doors’ "Light My Fire", Nina Simone’s "Take Me To The Water", Laura Nyro’s "Save The Country", Miles Davis' "All Blues", Richie Havens' "Indian Rope Man", and "Let The Sunshine In" and "I Got Life" from the musical Hair. Driscoll covers this wide range of musical influences easily and with her highly emotive and distinctive vocals, and with Auger's intense Hammond organ, the album is instrumentally interesting, too.
Streetnoise was a record that may have been informed by its era, but it certainly isn't stuck there, especially as the 21st century opens. The music here sounds as fresh and exciting as the day it was recorded. The sound on the reissue is completely remastered and packed in deluxe form; it all adds up to a must-have package for anyone interested in the development of Auger's music that was to change immediately after this record with the invention of the Oblivion Express, and also for those interested in Driscoll's most brave, innovative, and fascinating career as an improviser who discovered entirely new ways of using the human voice. Streetnoise is brilliant. ~ —Thom Jurek, Allmusic
