    Color Humano ~ 1972 ~ Color Humano
    genre: psych
    country: argentina
quality: lossless (flac, cue, log, scans)
    time: 34'26" size: 171 mb

    Dreams Fantasies & Nightmares:
Color Humano is an Argentinian heavy rock trio. Their very rare albums mostly comprise long tracks, folky tunes, some good guitar leads and a sort of U.S. West Coast vibe.
Their name was taken from a track written by Molinari for the first Almendra album, which was his previous group.
Their debut album in 1972 opens with Edelmiro's wife Gabriela singing a nice melody and is an effective blend of energetic (Silbame Oh Cabeza and Introducion Polenta) and more restrained (the guitar instrumental El Hachazo, ten-and-a-half minute Humberto and the lengthy guitar-driven progressive rocker Larga Vida Al Sol) compositions.
In late 1972, Color Humano played at the Buenos Aires festival, where they were filmed performing Larga Vida Al Sol and Coto De Caza for the movie "Rock Hasta Que Se Ponga El Sol", which can be heard on the original Soundtrack album (Talent 1-382).
The material for their other two albums was recorded during Spring 1973 but instead of releasing a double album it was decided to put the material out on two single ones. They were released on the Talent label owned by Jorge Alvarez, who had founded the pioneering Mandioca label.
Color Humano, Vol. 2 is dominated by the lengthy fourteen minute Va A Salir Un Lugar, which has the inevitable pace changes but falls well short of being a masterpiece. It closes with the slow-paced blues number Un Blues Para Adelina. The best cut is arguably the doom-laden Humanoides, also notable for quite a melodramatic intro.
On Color Humano, Vol. 3, Las Historias Que Tengo clocks in at just under twelve minutes and contains a lot of guitar dominated instrumental play, but it's unexceptional and some cuts on the album are downright tedious.
Color Humano split soon after this release. Molinari and his wife Gabriela relocated to Los Angeles. More went on to La Maquina de Hacer Pajaros and various other outfits and Rafanelli re-emerged in Sui Genesis and Polifemo. They reformed in 1995 for an unsuccessful reunion CD

Code III ~ 1974 ~ Planet Of Man
    genre: kraut
    country: germany
quality: lossless (flac, cue, log, scans)
    time: 49'50" size: 251 mb
    misc.: 2001

the Crack in the Cosmic Egg:
Code III were never a proper band, but were an impromptu group created for an album dedicated to showcasing the amazing sound characteristics of the Kunstkopf Artificial Head Recording System. Principally, Code III were Berlin studio engineer Manfred Schunke and American multi-instrumentalist Ed Key.
The music on PLANET OF MAN is a sonic depiction of the history of the Earth, from the void of empty space, via the formation of the planets, the evolution of life, through to man's domination of the planet, and ultimately back to the void. The opening and closing excursions, involving atmospheric electronics, injections of a dreamy folk song, and disembodied resonant female voice, hint a little at Brainticket's CELESTIAL OCEAN, although the mood is much spookier. Confusingly "Dawn Of An Era" (the lyrics are sung in the previous track) involves what sounds like demented Neanderthals involved in some weird drum ritual. "Countdown" adds up to a blend of atmospheric electronics with abstract use of voice collage and effects (and Indian music), onto a remarkably clever accelerating space-rock burn-out featuring Klaus Schulze at the drum stool! Returning to weird space music at the end, it all adds up to a remarkable and unique album.

    wikipedia:
The songs were written as part of prominent Canadian playwright George Ryga's stage play Grass and Wild Strawberries. The distinctly literary lyrics were written by Ryga. The song "Seventeenth Summer" was later re-recorded by Chilliwack and an extended jam based on it became a feature of their live performance. The fast-paced "Early Morning" was released as a single but did not become a major hit, reaching #84 on the RPM Magazine chart on July 12, 1969.

Ayreon ~ 2000 ~ Universal Migrator II: Flight of the Migrator
    genre: heavy prog
    country: netherlands
quality: lossless (flac, cue, log, covers)
    time: 1:05'41" size: 465 mb

Universal Migrator Part 2: Flight of the Migrator is a progressive metal album released in 2000 by Dutch multi-instrumentalist Arjen Lucassen, and is the fifth album of his Ayreon project.
The musical styles found on Flight of the Migrator are in stark contrast to its counterpart The Dream Sequencer, illustrating a wild, raucous journey through the tumultuous and chaotic reaches of outer space. In keeping with the setting of the story, the album's tone is much heavier, exuding a powerful, guitar-driven metal feel throughout.
Both albums were released simultaneously, sold well and were received positively, with most fans purchasing both separate discs. In 2004, Arjen moved to a new record label - InsideOut Germany - and with this move came re-issues of all the previous Ayreon releases, including The Dream Sequencer. The special edition re-issue merged both albums into a single release, titled Universal Migrator: Parts I & II. No new features were added, as Arjen felt it would be unfair to those fans who bought both albums originally, in 2000.

Universal Migrator Part 1: The Dream Sequencer is a progressive rock album released in 2000 by Dutch multi-instrumentalist Arjen Lucassen, and is the fourth album of his Ayreon project.
The Dream Sequencer features a musical style quite disparate from its counterpart Flight of the Migrator, telling the story of a trip through time from a variety of perspectives, it features a prog-infused atmospheric feeling, with a softer and more melodic sound than that of Flight of the Migrator.
Both albums were released simultaneously, sold well and were received positively, with most fans purchasing both separate discs. In 2004, Arjen moved to a new record label - InsideOut Germany - and with this move came re-issues of all the previous Ayreon releases, including The Dream Sequencer. Ayreon ~ 1998 ~ Into The Electric Castle
    genre: heavy prog
    country: netherlands
    quality: mp3 (320k, covers)
    time: 1:44'48" size: 240 mb

Into the Electric Castle is a progressive metal two-disc album released in 1998 by Dutch multi-instrumentalist Arjen A. Lucassen. It is the third album of his Ayreon project.
After the previous Ayreon album, Actual Fantasy, sold below expectations, Arjen sought to deliver a top-quality recording, or else it might mean the end of his Ayreon project. Into the Electric Castle tells a sci-fi story with exaggerated, flamboyant characters influenced by B-grade science fiction movies and diverse musical styles. The end result received positive reviews, and is considered to be his finest Ayreon album.

Actual Fantasy is a progressive metal album released in 1996 by Dutch multi-instrumentalist Arjen A. Lucassen and is the second album of his Ayreon project. It is the only Ayreon release that does not feature a single overarching story concept, but instead draws on science fiction and fantasy films for inspiration, as well as stories written by Arjen himself.
In 2004, Arjen moved to a new record label, InsideOut Germany. With this move came re-issues of all previous Ayreon releases, including Actual Fantasy. The re-issue came with a bonus DVD featuring a 5.1 remix of the entire original album, a video clip for "The Stranger from Within," and a video featurette showing the 2004 recordings of drums, bass, and guitar for the remix.

    the Clouds ~ 1969 ~ Scrapbook + 1971 ~ Watercolour Days
    genre: prog related
    country: uk
quality: lossless (flac, cue, log, booklet scans)
    time: 1:07'56" size: 442 mb
    misc.: 1996

    Tapestry of Delights:
A Scottish trio from Edinburgh, who were originally known as 1-2-3, they'd been renamed The Clouds by Terry Ellis after he'd become their manager and agent having spotted them playing in a tiny South London club. Although the title track of their debut album was heavily orchestrated much of the remaining material was in a progressive vein. The most commercial track, I'll Go Girl, was included on the You Can All Join In budget compilation ensuring considerable airplay. This was a pop song with nicely sculptured melodies and the album achieved some commercial success but the band's response was to record an album of stage favourites, Up Above Our Heads, which was only released in the USA and Canada. They toured with Jethro Tull and Free but Watercolour Days was a less satisfactory attempt to blend pop and progressivism and they split up soon afterwards.

    Clearlight ~ 2003 ~ Infinite Symphony
    genre: sympho prog
    country: france
quality: lossless (flac, cue, log, booklet scans)
    time: 1:06'50" size: 484 mb

    ProgArchives:
CLEARLIGHT is a project of French song-writer and composer Cyrille "CLEARLIGHT" Verdeaux, with a blend of classical romanticism and prog-rock experimentation. CLEARLIGHT was the name of Verdeaux's first 1975 released album, which was the first French progressive rock album signed under a major British label.
During the 1970's, the death of Verdeaux's 4-year-old son forced the composer to travel to India where he studied yoga and meditation which he has acknowledged profoundly influenced his later music. In 1980, CLEARLIGHT SYMPHONY was reborn when Verdeaux released the album NOCTURNE DIGITALIS and later OFFRANDES.
In the mid-80's Cyrille Verdeaux released a succession of similar albums, as well as a cassette-only compilation release known as the KUNDALINI OPERA in 1984.
Cyrille Verdeaux's work is similar to ARJEN LUCASSEN'S AYREON albums because he has incorporated the talents of several other singers, songwriters, and composers such as David Cross of KING CRIMSON, Tim Blake and Steve Hillage of GONG, and jazz violinist Didier Malherbe.
Cyrille Verdeaux's CLEARLIGHT should be considered progressive rock because he conceptualizes meditation and incorporates complex musical ideas with his experiences with meditation and Indian music. ~ Joey Moore (CalamityDaemon)

    Cirkus ~ 1973 ~ One Plus
    genre: prog
    country: uk
quality: lossless (flac, cue, log, scans)
    time: 49'53" size: 320 mb

Formed from the ashes of bands Moonhead and Lucas Tyson, the group's high standard of musicianship was well known in their native north-east where they attracted much attention and had a devoted following. It was felt that the quintet could achieve success on a national scale, provided management handled matters properly and they got the right breaks. In 1973 they recorded their debut album "Cirkus One" at Sound Associates/Emison & Air Studios and just 1000 copies were pressed up. It is widely regarded by many collectors today as the most musically accomplished private pressing of its kind to emerge out of the UK's then burgeoning progressive music scene, influenced by King Crimson and Yes. When in 1975 lead vocalist Paul Robson left the group, his replacement was Alan Roadhouse (ex Halfbreed) who also played the saxophone. With Dogg on acoustic and electric guitars, Derek Miller on keyboards, John Taylor on bass and main songwriter Stu McDade providing backing vocals, drums and assorted persussions, this became the new line-up. As a result the band moved away from their early symphonic style adopting a somewhat more mainstream approach albeit maintaining a certain "Cirkus sound".
